As summer comes to an end, we recognize that many of those in a career transition may have "played hooky" over the summer and reduced their job search efforts. However, reality still exists. In recent days we have been asked to handle more downsizings. If you ask those people who have received outplacement services, I believe you will hear what a difference it makes. Of course, the selection of the outplacement firm greatly impacts one's efforts. Is outplacement the same as it used to be? If not, how is it different?
